Delegates from Delta State engaged each other in a fight at the Saturday national convention of the All Progressives Congress, APC, which was held at the Eagles Square, Abuja, to the awe of other delegates, spectators and security agents.
It was gathered that the delegates were said to be loyalists of two main factional leaders, O'tega Emerhor and a former Governorship candidate in the state, Great Ogboru, in the state.
The fight broke out when President Muhammadu Buhari stepped out to read his address.
The faction loyal to O'tega had stepped out to eat but were stunned when they returned and found out that their seats had been taken over by another faction, they were also taunted by the Ogboru faction upon their return.
The angry delegates believed that Senator Ovie Omo -Agege used his position as the Secretary of the accreditation committee to outwit them.
The faction loyal to O'tega regrouped and attempted to unseat the already seated members of the party from the state which led to the fracas.
