The Leadership of Emohua Legislative Assembly has promised to give unwavering support to the Executive Chairman of Emohua Local Government, High Chief Tom Aliezi, in the interest of peace and overall development of the Local Government.
The house made the declaration after the proclamation of the 9th Emohua Legislative Assembly by the Executive Chairman, Hon Tom Aliezi on Friday.

After a unanimous election Hon Prince John Douglas representing Ward 14 Odegwu emerged unopposed as the leader of the house , Hon Bernard Odike , representing Ward 2 Ogbakiri was elected as deputy Leader and Hon Kenneth Chukwu ,representing Ward 12 Ubimini as Chief Whip.

In his acceptance speech after his emergence as the leader of the house , Hon Prince John Douglas, commended members of the Assembly for finding him worthy of leading the 9th Emohua Legislative Assembly and promised not to let the house down.
Hon Prince John Douglas on behalf of the 9th Emohua Legislative Assemby promised to support the transformation agenda of the Executive Chairman, Chief Tom Aliezi for a greater Emohua Local Government.

Speaking to Journalists after the proclamation of the Assembly, the Executive Chairman of Emohua Local Government Area, High Chief TomAliezi , who witnessed the election of the leadership of the Assembly urged members of the Assembly to be productive in the discharge of their legislative duties.
Hon Tom, charged members of the Assembly to come of with laws that will be supportive to his transformation agenda in the interest of peace and overall development of the Local Government Area.
Hon Tom was accompanied to the proclamation of the 9th Emohua Legislative Assembly by the Vice Chairman, Hon Mrs Ngozi Nyemonwu.
