Hon Tom gave the advice while addressing journalists after a crucial meeting with the management of Ahoada Division of PortHarcourt Electricity Distribution Company (PHED) with respect to the restoration of the lines supplying electricity to parts of Emohua and Ikwerre Local Government Areas which has suffered total blackout for over a year, as a result of the unholy activities of criminals who vandalises electricity installations along the Elele -Ahoada axis of the East-West Road.
Hon Tom who attended the meeting with his Ikwerre Local Government counterpart , Hon Samuel Nwanosike, informed journalists that though the Ahoada Division of PortHarcourt Electricity Distribution Company has promised to heed to the call for the restoration of the electricity lines but he and his Ikwerre Counterpart will be having a follow up meeting with the Head office of PortHarcourt Distribution Company in PortHarcourt to ensure a concrete synergy with the electricity company for commencement of work on the electricity lines.
On his part the Executive Chairman of Ikwerre Local Government Area, Engr Samuel Nwanosike, expressed dissatisfaction over federal government's negligence of the two oil producing Local Government of Emohua and Ikwerre who have been suffering power outage for over a year.
He called for a swift intervention of federal government in the restoration of the electricity lines supplying the two Local Government Areas to give the people a better life, as the two local government areas contributes immensely to the economy of the federation.

Hon Tom Aliezi, emphasized that the restoration of the electricity lines is in line with his transformation agenda for Emohua Local Government and in fulfilment of his campaign promise to the good people of Emohua.
He promised that with the strong collaboration between Emohua and Ikwerre Local Government , and the cooperation so far shown by the management of PortHarcourt Electricity Distribution Company, the people should be hopeful of electricity soon.
