CHIEF TOM COMMENDS PHED , REITERATES HIS ADMINISTRATION'S COMMITMENT TO RESTORING ELECTRICITY IN EMOHUA LOCAL GOVERNMENT AREA.

To Further fashion out positive measures to restore electricity in parts of Emohua and Ikwerre Local Government Area, the Executive Chairman of Emohua Local Government Area, High Chief Tom Aliezi, and his Ikwerre Counterpart, Engr Samuel Nwanosike has met with CEO of PortHarcourt Electricity Distribution Company and the Rivers State Commissioner for Power .

The meeting which is a follow up of an earlier meeting with the Commercial manager of PHED yesterday , is intended at arriving at concrete arrangements for the restoration of the damaged electricity lines along the Ahoada -Elele Axis of East-West Road, which supplies electricity to parts of Emohua and Ikwerre Local Government Area, took place at the office of Hon Commissioner for Power, Rivers State ,Hon Shedrack Chukwu .
The CEO of PHED Engr Mathew Edubvie , Commended the Local Government Chairmen for their Commitment to providing the needs of the people who voted them into office and assured them of the support of the electricity distribution company. 
He called for the cooperation of the people of the affected communities during the restoration work .
Applauding the Zeal with which the Local Government Chairmen are serving their respective Local Government Areas, the Honorable Commissioner for Power, Hon Shedrack Chukwu, emphasized that there is no doubt that the two Local Government Chairmen are good students of Governor Wike and hence will do all within their reach to ensure that their electioneering campaign promises are fulfilled, just like their master, Mr Projects.
The Honorable Commissioner, promised to present the issue to the Governor of Rivers State who he said will stop at nothing to ensure that the affected communities enjoy electricity like other communities.
Hon Shedrack, who chaired the meeting reiterated that the administration of Gov Wike is committed to providing the dividends of democracy.
He Constituted a seven man Fact finding Committee to ascertain the level of damage and the cost of repairing the damaged lines.
The Committee Which has one representative from each of the two Local Government Areas, two representatives from PHED and three from Rivers State Ministry of Power , is expected to conclude its findings and present a comprehensive report on Friday when the stakeholders will be meeting again.
Speaking to Journalists at the end of the meeting the Executive Chairman of Emohua Local Government Area, High Chief Tom Aliezi, thanked the Management of PortHarcourt Electricity Distribution Company for their Cooperation and Commitment to the welfare of their customers, and promised to set up a monitoring team that will work in synergy with security agencies to checkmate the activities of criminals who vandalise electricity installations along Ahoada -Elele Axis of the East -West Road.
Hon Tom, Called on the affected communities to remain Peaceful and assured that works will commence on the electricity lines very soon.
He called on youths of the affected communities to be hospitable to PHED worker who will be in coming to their communities to fix the damaged lines as soon as arrangements are concluded.
On his part, the Executive Chairman of Ikwerre Local Government Area, Engr Samuel Nwanosike, emphasized that the electricity restoration project is in fulfilment of his campaign promise to the good people of Ikwerre Local Government who gave him the mandate to Chair the council.
He assured that his administration is committed to the welfare of the people, hence his efforts to ensure that the electricity is restored as soon as possible.
